LIFESTYLE

North Glenmore has a unique history in Kelowna much of it was part of the ALR (Agricultural Land Reserve) put in place by the former NDP government to protect agricultural land. Many ALR properties in North Glenmore were released in 1998, so a boom of development took place, creating an entire community. The focus was on affordable family housing, with access to great schools, many parks, easy shopping, and sports fields. The Brandt’s Creek Linear Park meanders through this neighbourhood along the creek.

There are still pockets of farmland with active working farms and orchards, so to stop and buy a box of fresh tomatoes, or juicy peaches and crunchy apples is delightfully easy in North Glenmore.

HOMESTYLE

Mid-range affordable homes built with families in mind. These homes are tucked into great little neighbourhoods where it’s safe to walk, play hockey, and socialize. Many have suites as mortgage helpers, or for an aging parent, or student. Some larger properties, acreages, and farms are also available in this area. There are also several retirement communities, and many condos conveniently located within walking distance of shopping.

SCHOOLS

  • North Glenmore Elementary School
